About Us

Trumbull HindiUSA is a subsidiary school of HindiUSA located within the town of Trumbull in Connecticut. This school was established in the year 2017 with an aim to extend the love for Hindi language to the residents of this town and neighboring towns who didn’t prefer to travel long distance to teach and learn Hindi.

We have held in-person classes at Madison Middle school until 2020 and currently we teach hybrid option - online with 1-2 classes per month in person.  We follow the structured curriculum set by our parent organization and hold classes every Friday from 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm following the Trumbull school calendar every year.

Our school is currently run by Ruchi Sharma and Sheetal Abbi (who are our school co-ordinators and teachers) along with a team of dedicated teachers and youth volunteers who bring in a lot of enthusiasm and strive to put in every effort to teach kids our National language(read, write and  speak) and introduce our culture in a fun manner.  

We have kids studying in Starter level , Beginner level, Intermediate level and Advanced level classes, at our school;. Throughout the year we recognize all and celebrate few festivals, talk about National hero’s, share stories from Panchatantra, Amar Chitra Katha etc. and introduce fun games , projects and participate in cultural events to introduce kids to Indian heritage and our rich culture.

Hindi is the second most spoken language in the world and the rich grammar, vocabulary and wide aesthetic appeal that it has in people motivates HindiUSA volunteers to help preserve it. To do this, we have well defined syllabus and practical ways to implement it. The syllabus and teaching methodologies are reviewed periodically to provide optimum benefits to the students. Our mission is to expand knowledge about the Hindi language in ways that are enjoyable for students and to educate students about the history and culture of India!
