Effective Academic Year: 2026–2027
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
Applicable To: HindiUSA students attending TVUSD high schools
HindiUSA is pleased to announce that Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) accepts successfully completed HindiUSA courses for high school World Language transfer credit, subject to district review and approval.
This provides eligible high school students an opportunity to earn World Language credits through their Hindi language education at HindiUSA.
TVUSD confirmed this arrangement on May 7, 2026, and subsequently clarified the procedures and documentation requirements through October 14, 2026.
Each successfully completed HindiUSA academic-year course may qualify for 10 unweighted high school World Language credits, equivalent to one year of high school coursework.
Eligible credits may be applied toward a student's high school World Language requirements, subject to TVUSD's determination.
Credits are evaluated individually by TVUSD.
Students must complete their HindiUSA course while enrolled in high school.
Important: HindiUSA provides course completion documentation and a specialized academic transcript. TVUSD makes the final determination regarding acceptance and awarding of high school credits.
To be considered for World Language transfer credit, students must meet the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a TVUSD high school while completing the HindiUSA course.
Successfully complete the applicable HindiUSA academic-year course.
Fulfill HindiUSA's academic and assessment requirements.
Obtain the specialized HindiUSA High School World Language Credit Transcript documenting successful course completion and final grade.
Follow the TVUSD outside-course approval process, except where the district has specifically granted an exception.
Courses completed before a student entered high school are not covered by the credit acceptance arrangement confirmed by TVUSD.
Students seeking high school World Language credit through HindiUSA must follow the process established by TVUSD.
Before enrolling in a HindiUSA course for which World Language credit is being sought, students or parents must contact their high school counselor to discuss eligibility and obtain the required application for taking courses outside TVUSD.
Students must complete the TVUSD outside-course application and obtain the necessary approval before enrolling in the HindiUSA course.
The application is available through the student's high school counselor.
Exception for the 2026–2027 Academic Year: TVUSD has confirmed that students already enrolled in HindiUSA for the 2026–27 academic year are exempt from completing the prior-approval application retroactively. These students remain eligible for World Language transfer credit consideration upon successful course completion and submission of the required transcript.
Students must successfully complete the HindiUSA academic-year course, including the required coursework and assessments.
Following successful completion of the course and final grade processing, HindiUSA will issue a specialized High School World Language Credit Transcript for eligible students seeking transfer credit.
This transcript is different from the standard HindiUSA academic transcript or marksheet and is specifically designed to meet TVUSD's documentation requirements.
Students or parents must submit the specialized HindiUSA transcript to their respective high school registrar.
TVUSD has confirmed that transcripts may be submitted after the annual examinations, generally toward the end of May or afterward. High school registrars can receive and process transcripts throughout the calendar year.
The high school will review the submitted transcript and determine the applicable World Language transfer credits.
Students and parents should follow up with their high school registrar to ensure that approved credits are accurately reflected in the student's academic record.
